About the area
The bay of Mavarštica and the whole Čiovo area is well known for their beautiful hidden beaches and lonely bays where you can find quiet corners. If you like exploring the island of Čiovo and the nearby islands, take one of the daily boat tours or rent a private boat. Ancient cities of Trogir, Split, and Šibenik, as well as National Parks Krka and Plitvice, are easily reached by car. The nearest beach is 200 m away.
Near Orange Apartment & Spa is a shop, restaurant, and cafe. Larger shops and markets are located 1 km away at Okrug Gornji, and in Trogir, 5 km away (markets, fish market, restaurants and shops, nightclubs and cafes).
Čiovo Island is quite mysterious because no one knows how it got its name or what it means. It is located next to the historical core of the ancient Trogir, the UNESCO-protected town, and connects to it with two bridges. It has many beaches and secluded bays. Bušinci and Mavarštica Bay, with their numerous pebble beaches and crystal-clear waters, offer incredible views of the Central Dalmatian archipelago: Brač, Šolta and Hvar. Okrug Gornji and Okrug Donji are Čiovo’s largest settlements, with numerous shops, restaurants and sports activities.
Trogir is an ancient UNESCO-protected city with numerous historical monuments; the arboretum, fort Kamerlengo, St. Marko fortress, a sculpture of the Blessed Ivan Orsini, St. Jeronim Chappel, Cipico palace, renaissance church of St. John the Baptist, the portal of Radovan, Trogir city museum, etc. Enjoy the Trogir green market, fish market, small shops, rich nightlife, restaurants, cafes and beach bars.
Split is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia and the second-largest city in Croatia. Split is rich in historical monuments, so be sure to visit: Diocletian’s palace, the Golden Gate, the statue of bishop Gregory of Nin, the cathedral of St. Duje, church of St. Francis, cathedral of St. Peter, the central court, the city basement, St. Anne’s monastery and many others. The main port is located in Split, along with the railway and bus station. Split is also known for its nightlife, with numerous restaurants and cafes in the old city center.
